The Carlisle Family YMCA offers three American Camp Association (ACA) accredited day camp programs designed to encourage fun, friendship, and exploration for campers of all ages. Registration for Camp starts March 1st for Members and March 15th for Non-Members.
Our enthusiastic staff provide a positive, safe environment where campers can grow and thrive. We help campers discover science, explore nature, and engage in creative arts while fostering a sense of wonder about the world around them.
Our camp is primarily outdoors, so please dress campers in comfortable, light clothing suitable for active play and exploration.
Day camp hours are 9AM to 4PM, with additional free play, dodgeball, and games offered from 7:45AM to 5PM. Camp fees cover the entire week, regardless of which days your child attends. All field trip costs are included.
Campers will swim at our YMCA pool during the week. We offer free swim times rather than lessons. Based on the swim level selected at registration, campers will be designated as poor/fair swimmers (red wristband) or moderate swimmers (yellow wristband). Those wishing to take a swim test to move up a level may do so periodically – please ask a counselor. The test involves swimming freestyle across the pool while breathing correctly, then treading water for 1 minute. Non-swimmers are required to wear a flotation device, or may bring their own.
During swim times, campers are split into two groups that rotate between swimming and shade/tent time. Both areas are supervised by counselors. Swim times are typically 1:00PM to 3:00PM. Please let us know during morning drop-off if you need an earlier pickup, and we will adjust your child’s swim time.
We look forward to providing your camper with a summer full of fun and adventure! Let us know if you have any other questions.
