We have 2 options available to potential staff: Resident Camp and Day Camps

Is Camp Thompson Resident Camp for you?

1. Inspire Young Minds: As a Camp Counselor, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to inspire and guide young campers as they embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Be a role model, mentor, and friend to campers who will cherish the memories and lessons they learn at camp for a lifetime.

2. Adventure Awaits: Camp Thompson is nestled in the heart of Pine Grove Furnace State Park, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. As a counselor, you’ll have access to exciting outdoor activities like hiking, archery, kayaking, and more. You’ll get to share your love for adventure and the outdoors with campers while experiencing it firsthand. We live in the cabins with campers sharing our love for music whether it be a dance party in the cabin or a good ole song around the campfire.

3. Lifelong Friendships: Working at camp is more than just a job; it’s a chance to form bonds that can last a lifetime. You’ll become part of a close-knit community of counselors who share your passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.

• A willingness to embrace the outdoors and all that camp life offers
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dedication to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all campers

Maybe Day Camp works better with your schedule, work during the day 8-4 or 9-5 and still be able to take a college class, be able pull another shift part-time at another job, or finish up work around your apartment. You still get to use your skills and talents with campers ages 6-11 yrs olds during the day!
